Taken at MECP test site. ORP not taken because of defective AZ 8552 meter that had moisture inside the meter. Chloride by titration and reading expected.
Phosphate 0.25 mg/L; ORP 151mV; chloride 6.0 mg/L (titration); Water drawn from lakewater pump at a depth of 2.0 meters.
Would prefer a higher ORP value.
Chloride concentration measured with TAYLOR K- 1598 drop test kit (NEW). This is titration, not by any calculation.
Kit is very easy to use, with good instructions.
For a senior individual, who gets no funding for the hobby of water testing, this kit, while apparently very satisfactory, is somewhat expensive.
Chloride derived from product of salinity and percentage ionic concentration of chloride (6%)

This records the start of measuring Salinity with a new AZ 8372 Salinity pen.
Water filtered through 5 micron filter.
ORP = 185 mv. This is a bit lower than normal. DO is higher than normal. This bears watching.

Chloride is higher than last reading. Bears watching.
New EC METER BEING USED. COULD ACCOUNT FOR ANY DISCREPANCY IN TDS AND HENCE IN Chloride at 19% of TDS.
Ice out April 3/24. These readings following a 4 day Colorado low with winds of 90 mph creating 5 ft waves crest to crest .. adding oxygen to the water. A substantial drop in Chlorides to 10.83 from 12 mg/l due to somewhat milder winter and the MTO using pre-wetted salt and checking periodic spreader calibrations.
ADDED MEASUREMENT: ORP = 261 mv.
Readings taken at equivalent location of Patterson’s dock for purposes of recording any decline or stability in chlorides. Result that chlorides seem to have stabilized and not decreased further.
Any dissolved oxygen level is measured in mg/L using titration.
REDOX (ORP) remains good at 275 mV. I regularly now test for ORP.
Chloride is calculated from TDS, using a linear mathematical developed relationship. As an approximation, for quick reference, chloride is about 19% of TDS.
