Test time was 3:55 pm (see note below on why we were alittle later than usual ) Water was flowing and high. The creek had breached to beach and was direct into Lake Erie. When we first got to our test site there was a photographer taking pictures of birds. She had equipment set up across the site so we decided not to intrude. We acknowledged each other with a smile and she went back to taking pictures .We left to do next site sampling to return after to do our sample not wanting to disturb her any further. We didn't want to start talking and scare any of her prospects off.
Upon returning we could see Red winged blackbirds and Yellow Finch s and could hear others but
didn't see them. There were a few boats getting pulled out at boat ramp ,which was nice to see open and clear of obstruction and debris. There were a few families at pavillion and beach in front enjoying the day. When I followed the creek to the mouth at lake Erie I talked to a man fishing . He had just got a double header 2 sheep head at once on a pickeral rig. He said last night he also caught a big catfish at mouth of creek.
Water was brown ,steady flowing, natural debris ,opaque colour, and opaque in clarity ,little bits of weeds, no odour's
