It was a clear morning but the water level is low. I have attached some pictures of a new island west of the Island Park Bridge. Westboro Beach was very busy as it has been this summer with the warm temperatures.

Lots of people on the beach; it was the last day for lifeguards. We saw 4 Wilderness Tours rafts going down the river as part of their Ottawa River tours from Britannia Beach to Lemieux Island. We did this a few years ago and enjoyed it.
Partly cloudy; testing this time closer to the Quebec shore
Very heavy rain yesterday. Lots of swimmers with some debris from the storm on the river edge. Also volleyball on the beach. The Westboro Beach Café was open and quite busy for a Monday.
The water was calm with the restaurant open but a no-swim advisory (red flag) is in effect due to yesterday's e-coli reading of 365. Sunday is the last day for lifeguards this year.
