St. Lawrence River

Cornwall Harbour is located in Lake St. Francis, a fluvial lake, at the centre of the Cornwall, ON waterfront. The bay has a bit of an eddy where the flow goes opposite direction of the river. This area is known to be a hot spot for mercury contamination in the sediments. It is a popular recreational spot for locals including swimming, angling, snorkeling, and diving.
