Beaver Creek at College Road

Beaver Creek

Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada

Small bridge upstream sample. There is a narrow bridge crossing over Beaver Creek on College Road. The road is narrow, and some local traffic passes through it. Wearing high-visibility clothing is recommended at this site. Water samples are collected from the upstream (South-facing) side of the bridge using a throw bucket. Further downstream, Beaver Creek merges with Black Creek.

3 blue jays and a great blue heron. Creek was very cloudy as compared to last months visit, interesting considering the large increase in conductivity and chloride.

Observed what I think was an egret in the creek, flew up into a tree when it saw me. There was another near the entrance to the golf course. Didn’t get a picture.
