Odour…. Chemical , slight sewage? Water looks relatively clear
Odour 2+
Smell of sewage. Water surprisingly not that cloudy
Grey green tinge to water, especially from the Bourne Mill outflow (not collected as no way to collect safely), slight sewage smell all around.
Water collected from the drainage channel which is linked to the sewage outflow.
Water warmer than air temperature!
three streams meet here:-
ditch from Farnham was clear, flow from Bourne Mill was cloudy and there was the greatest flow from the stream supplemented by the sewage outfall about 200m away.
Water sample taken from the sewage outfall flow.
water only somewhat cloudy , but sewage smell present
Slight smell of sewage
Three 'streams' meet here. One from the Farnham direction had a 'boom' on it (see photo) about 20m upstream from test point.
Most water was coming from the under-road pipe which is from the stream which the sewage outlet flows into, the mill leet was flowing quite well.
3 streams converge ( left)from under the mill /shed shop, (middle) from stream ( underneath us)next to the old peoples home and from the Farnham Water lane sewage pipe. the middle is murkiest.
Water is more clear than on 31st March- almost as clear as at 6 bells testing spot
