About
We are a group of people living in and around Knowbury in the Shropshire Hills. Our villages are surrounded by springs and small brooks where water emerges from the aquifers lying underneath the Dhustone rock that tops the Clee Hills. These brooks run down the hillside and eventually join the River Teme near Tenbury Wells. From there, the water travels south-east and eventually meets the River Severn near Worcester.
Living right at the source of these brooks means that any pollution created in our village could eventually travel all the way into the River Severn. It’s important that the water we pass on to our downstream neighbours is as free from pollution as we can manage.
