Spring garbage collection at the westmeath boat launch and drainage ditches. lots of plastic bags and plastic from hay bails, bottles, cans, styrofoam, a full bag of household garbage, flower pots, glass and many other items.

This is one thing we can do to Protect Our Waters!!! Started a shoreline clean up and had some fun! I had a few helpers today who happened to be passing by. My new friend Ambrose was quite the character😉 And I now have a new fishing 🐟🐊buddy for this summer!! He said he was a lucky man for having the opportunity to enjoy a beautiful day with such a beautiful lady😘. I also had some up collecting benthics by our future scientists. These little guys were On top of the world when I asked if they wanted to collect there own water bugs.🐜🐛 We talked about why I was collecting the bugs and how the fish we eat, eat the bugs, and how the bugs would get bigger like they will and change in to different flying bugs. I got asked if this was my job, I said maybe one day it would be, the older brother thought that was cool. I told the older brother, maybe one day that would be his job too💪🏽 What a wonderful day, so many smiles my cheeks hurt! #shorelinecleanup #protectourwaters
