Water Rangers is open to everyone.
You can use Water Rangers to record data about oceans, rivers, lakes and streams. NOTE: we are actively moving people to our new platform. It can be found at data.waterrangers.com.
How to use Water Rangers
Water Rangers is designed to be easy for anyone to use.
Here is a walk-through of some of our main features
I don't know anything about water... where should I start?
To get started, we suggest looking for an established community-based water monitoring program near you. Need help finding one? Let us know where you're located, and we'll do our best to make a recommendation.
If you want to start testing on your own, or if you want to establish your own group, we can help with that too. Check out our online store to find the perfect equipment for your needs.
I want to start recording data
Great! First you'll need to sign up for an account. Once you've signed up, you're ready to go.
Adding observations
You can either add data to an existing location or to a location that you create. To find out if someone has already created a location where you perform your tests, search for your location on the map.
To add data to an existing location, simply click on that location, then click "add observation." If you want to creat a new location to add your observation to, simply click on the map, and then click "create a new location."
